Blue Healers is a roots duo based in Snohomish WA. Playing stripped down originals and covers with grit. Don Forsyth is an innovative guitarist with deep blues influences and an unconventional expansive and expressive style. Diane Forsyth is a singer and bass playing songwriter with soul, folk, country and interstellar influences.
Blue Healers made the semi-finals at the International Blues Challenge 2024 in Memphis Tennessee. 2024 Washington Blues Society nominations include: Female Blues Vocal, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Best solo/duo, Best New Act, Washington Blues Recording (Transmissions) Blues Songwriter. They were also nominated Best Solo/Duo 2022 & 2023, Don was nominated Best Acoustic Blues guitar 2023 by the Washington Blues Society and best blues band by the Seattle Weekly in 2009. They have opened for Foghat and Baby Gramps and have shared the stage and co-written (Don) with the legendary songwriter Dan Bern among other honors.
They released the full length noir roots album Transmissions in March 2023 and and the all blues EP Astro Blues in January 2024.
